Colors of Washington » Ice Lakes in the Rain

Lower Ice Lake during a summer rain storm. This lake is part of the Ice Lakes located in the Glacier Peak Wilderness, Wenatchee National Forest, Washington. Pumice from Glacier Peak litters the foreground and gives the ground a yellow like color. This high elevation lake is reached by a long hiking trail up the Entiat River valley.
